Wairakite is one of the rarer zeolite species. It’s typically found around hot springs and forms white dodecahedral crystals similar to analcime. In this case, the white wairakite is completely replacing the elongated, stick-like crystals of another zeolite, laumontite. 35x28x12mm. Width of view 9mm. Stack of 40 images.
