This 2.5 cm. x 1.3 cm. mount doesn’t require magnification to appreciate, and it could be displayed as a thumbnail. And then there’s the provenance, which features among other interesting aspects, the ID hand written by the great Neal Yedlin ID (no question about the handwriting) on one of his personal labels. This mount comes in a cardboard case of earlier vintage than the cardboard cases Yedlin more typically used. Beneath his label is affixed (you can see through the Yedlin label) an older label (different handwriting) that indicates the case once held a mineral from Cornwall, England. It appears Yedlin acquired this piece already mounted and later passed it on to Charles W. Smith. Possible, but less likely was that it could have been the other way around.
