1.5 cm x 1.2 cm vintage micromount mounted on a pedestal by the renowned late Bill Meinert. Meinert was the past Chairman of the Arthur Roe Memorial Micromount Symposium, held each year by the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society in the Convention Center at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Making the specimen more interesting is the spelling on its label: Aurthurite. Goes to show that even some of the greatest are capable of having an erroneous idea as to the spelling of a mineral ingrained in their minds. The label on the flip side of this mount also spells it aurthurite.
