Small pyrite crystals on calcite crystals. Ex Charles Willett Collection. Width of view 9mm. Stack of 65 images. Allegedly, a dead tree once stood over this quarry with the inscription “D. Boon (Daniel Boone) Cilled A Bar on the tree in year 1760”, although an internet search places the sign at nearby Jonesborough.
