A brownish-grey gypsum rose with a white UV reaction. Ex Margaret Brown Collection. Margaret purchased this specimen in 1983 in Broken Hill. Labelled simply Maryborough, Queensland. There is some doubt that it may not be from this region. James Melville advised that it is almost certainly from Newport Waterways (canal estate), Scarborough, Redcliffe Peninsula, Queensland. Perhaps Scarborough was mislabelled Maryborough by someone. The locality is now under water and houses. The gypsum specimens were apparently collected by clubs in the 1980s and 1990s during the construction of a number of canal estates.
